Description : When my sister and I purchased our retirement home in Jamestown, we used the services of Betsy Hurst, who tirelessly gave us a terrific overview of an area that was very new to us. My sister retired first and went to live there full-time. Betsy Hurst actually became more than a realtor to her. She helped my sister with things that she didn't know about since she was new to the area and we were Betsy's guests to the wonderful Home Tour during the holidays, which made us feel so at home. It may sound strange, but when my sister died very unexpectedly two months later, Betsy was the only local person I knew to call. She was out of the area that weekend, but knowing from a previous conversation that we were Catholics, she had a priest contact me within a couple of hours. I think that goes beyond the call of duty and hope it shows how great small town business people can be. She helped us buy the house and then helped me sell the house; trying to make it as painless as possible through a very difficult time. I was not living in the area when my house went up for sale, so I had little involvement except for emails and relied on Betsy to pick up the slack. Description : Betsy offered an abundance of knowledge about the area, various people to do jobs on the house, new the different neighborhoods, and was eager to make the transitions smooth. She made what is very stressful, a more comfortable and pleasant experience. And having Betsy working with us actually made is enjoyable. She works well with people and is friendly to include how well she interacts with kids. I most definitely will recommend her to others.
