As a little girl, Betsy was told to be quiet, stop trying to run the class, and even had her mouth taped as a punishment... as an adult, she was told she had the "gift of gab' and that character trait has helped her maintain her top agent status for the past 13 years.

Betsy grew up in sunny Southern California and lived there for 21 years.  She earned an Associates of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising at Brooks College in Long Beach, Ca.  She enjoyed marketing and advertising classes the most and went on to study business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with an emphasis in marketing.  While living in Morro Bay, she married, and had 2 babies and was a partner in a construction business.  It was then that her interest in Real Estate began.  She and her buisness partner (AKA ex-husband) designed and built custom and speculative homes.  She drew plans, did the bookkeeping and even did construction work herself.  The business moved to Alamo/Danville area of the East Bay.  Betsy ended up in the Twain Harte area after bringing her children here to ski, after all who wouldn't want to live where they play!

Her Real Estate Career began after she was shown several homes by her agent/broker and was told that she knew more about the homes than he did and since she had the "gift of gab" she should be a REALTOR.  That was 15-years and one more baby ago.  For 7 of those years, Betsy was a single mother.  With 3 children and a Real Estate business, what more did someone need?  Always the caring and giving person, she gave her time to her children, to her career and to her volunteer work.  Always being the overachiever, Betsy was the PTA President, the Tuolumne County Associations of Realtors President, she served as a California Association of Realtors Director for 2-years and the President of the Board for WATCH Resources program for two years, a non-profit organization that helps to integrate adults with disabilities into her Community.  She is currently the TCAR Education Committee chairperson for our local MLS.  She is a proud sponsor of soccer teams, football teams, cheerleaders, baseball teams, golf tournaments, basically you name it and Betsy will try and sponsor it!  She rarley can say "NO" when it comes to helping while getting her name out there.  Betsy's name is everywhere in the Community she so proudly serves.  She is also a great resource for Real Estate information and had been contacted many times by local media.  She is also very proud to talk about her children and dogs so never hesitate to ask!!!  Betsy is looked at as the face of Century 21 and Real Estate for the community she serves.  She will talk to anyone, whether she is standing in line at Disneyland, on a plane or in a grocery store, everyone knows that Betsy sells Tuolumne County Real Estate.

Betsy is the perfect example of the "sandwich" generation.  She takes care of her parents and her 3 children.  Her mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's for the past 15 years and her step father is now traveling.  She is also a proud grandmother to two beautiful grandsons and loves spending time spoiling them.  She loves to travel and attend Century 21 Top Agent Retreats, International Conventions and has been recognized at these event for her superior customer service and dedication to her clients.  Betsy remarried in 2006 to Redmond Younger and together they have a new hobby, raising their very large, rare breed of dogs... Leonbergers.

As you can see Betsy lives life the the fullest which is one of her motto's of life.  If you are looking to buy or sell in Tuolumne County give Betsy a call.
